If you choose to access your emails via our webmail platform, you can add a shortcut to this page to your bookmarks or smart screen home screen.
We have added the following steps as a guide, your setup may be slightly different from this however the process is the same. If you’re not sure, give one of our team a call and we’ll talk you through it.
ADD THE WEBMAIL LINK TO THE BOOKMARKS ON MY COMPUTER BROWSER
- This process assumes that you are using Google Chrome as your internet browser, others will differ slightly but the process is basically the same.
- Visit the webmail page here : https://webmail.meg7.net
- Once the page has loaded in your browser, click the * symbol towards the top right hand side of the screen, at the end of the URL bar (the bit where you typed the webmail link)
- This will then add the page to your bookmark bar and you should see this displayed across the top of the page. Give the page a title, such as ‘EMAIL’ or ‘WEBMAIL’
- You can also change the location of the bookmark to a specific folder if you prefer
- If you can’t see the bookmark bar on your browser, you can add this by going to ‘Settings’ ‘ Bookmarks’ ‘Show Bookmarks Bar’
ADD THE WEBMAIL LINK TO THE HOMEPAGE ON MY SMART PHONE
- This process assumes that you are using an iPhone or iPad, others will differ slightly but the process is basically the same.
- Visit the webmail page here : https://webmail.meg7.net
- Once the page has loaded, click the box with the arrow symbol at the bottom of the page, this symbol should be in the centre of 5 symbols.
- Scroll down the list until you see ‘Add to Home Screen’
- Give the page a name and click ‘Add’ at the top right of the screen.
- The page will then be added to the home screen on your device. You can drag this to a better position if you prefer.

Login using your email address and password, go to settings and set your Out of Office through the mail settings menu.
You can set the expiry date and time too so you don’t need to worry about cancelling it when you get back. You can also forward your email to another address while you’re away if this is helpful

We find this is where most people get frustrated with other hosting companies, as they hide behind chatbots and expect you do this all yourself. It can be quite frustrating as the technology is a bit weird (SMTP server who? SSL Port what? Authentication eh!?) so we like to make it as easy as possible!
We talk you through the process over the phone, or we can dial in to your systems remotely and do this for you if you prefer. If you’re local to us we can do this for you in person, too!

I have a gmail / hotmail email address. How can I make this work with my new business email address?
It depends on which hosting service you have chosen. Either way we do it all for you so your up and running in no time!
FORWARDER ONLY – Your new business email address sends emails to your existing email address. Carry on using your existing email address, with the added convenience of having your business email forward traffic to your original email address. Advertise the new address and away you go!
HOSTED SERVICES – Ask us to migrate your emails from your original address to your new business email, this allows you to have all historic emails in one place without having to check two mailboxes. We can then add a forwarder from your original domestic email to your dedicated business email address, ensuring all emails are seen in the new location.

We offer a free migration service for your email and website data. We can even migrate emails from different addresses! john@businessname.co.uk can be migrated to cathy@businessname.co.uk. We can also migrate john@gmail.com to john@businessname.co.uk. The possibilities are endless! Websites can be a bit more complex to migrate as we like to test them on our staging platform before pushing them live. Give us a call and we’ll go through it all.
Nope
There are no contracts. All we ask is that you give us 30 days notice if you wish to cancel (or thereabouts). This is so we can ensure the hosting is cancelled and data removed from our servers at the end of the month. Nice and easy!
The only extra cost you may need to budget for is for the registration and renewal of your business domain name. This costs £9.98 per year plus vat for .co.uk domains.
Do you already have a business domain name? (for your website, for example)
If the answer is YES then we can we can link your business email address service to your website domain. You can transfer this domain to us (for free!) if you wish and we can renew this for you when it is due. There is no obligation to do this and you can keep your domain with your current registrar if you wish. You may find however that we are cheaper than your current domain registrar so it’s worth a check first.
If you don’t have a business domain name, we can register one for you and tie your email services to it. You’ll pay on average £9.98 per year plus vat for your domain name (.co.uk). We act as the domain reseller and manage the renewal of your domain name when it is due. All domains are registered in our clients name, not ours so you can move and change your domain registrar as and when you wish at any point in the future.

There are many options available and we can talk you through these, however most clients choose one of the following;
1/ Migrate their existing website to our servers. The additional cost of £5 per month is usually less than they currently pay so there is a saving. We can do this for you free of charge as part of the onboarding process.
2/ Keep your website with the current provider and let MEG7 host your emails. We’ll need to change a setting on your domain name to point the email traffic to our server platform but it’s very straightforward. We can do this for you or talk you through the steps free of charge, or contact your current website hosting company to request these changes for you.
We offer a simple, easy payment system using direct debit paid monthly in advance. Payment is collected on or around the 21st of each month as payment for your hosting services the following month. For example, a payment processed on the 21st April will give you hosting from the 1st – 31st May.
Please note that none payment of your services once setup is not confirmation of cancellation of your hosting with us. You will need to let us know by email or phone, all we ask is 30 days notice (or thereabouts) so we can cancel your hosting at the end of the month. Easy!
Yes of course!
We’re a website design company too so it makes sense to offer our own hosting platform for websites. In fact, our website hosting platform is one of the fastest around! We can host most websites on our servers and we can migrate your site over to our systems free of charge. We charge £10 plus vat per month for website hosting (including SSL Certificates and 30 days backup). If you currently host your emails with us, its only £5 plus vat per month for your website to be hosted on our systems.

Yes of course, no problem.
Our plans come with different size mailboxes depending on your needs, however we can increase the mailbox capacity to as big as you want. We have some clients with mailboxes that are over 70GB! (that’s a lot of emails!)
Our recommendation is to start with the basic size, especially if you are a business start up or a company with limited email traffic. You can increase the capacity at any point as and when you need it. You’ll receive notifications when the capacity is near the limit, simply delete some emails or get in touch with us and we can give you more storage space.
It’s super simple!
Ask your friend / colleague to contact us about our hosting services, once they sign up to a package, you’ll both receive 2 months free hosting from the following month.
In order for you both to qualify your friend will need to complete the onboarding process, including signing up to our direct debit service.
You’ll both receive an invoice for the 2 months with a value of £0.00 and no payment will be collected until the 2 months have passed. This gives your friend the chance to try our hosting for 2 months absolutely free of charge!
Refer as many friends as you like, and you will keep qualifying for 2 free months each time! Heck, if you have a lot of friends who want business email addresses you may never have to pay for your email services….ever! WOW!
Yes of course
If you don’t want to access your email through one of the main email client providers, such as Microsoft Outlook or Apple Mail, you can access your email through our webmail service. Simply click the links at the top and bottom of our website, or visit – https://webmail.meg7.net
You can then add this link to your website bookmarks, or create a link to your smart phone home screen so it’s easy to access. (see our SUPPORT PAGE for more information on this)
